June Favorites

Hey Y'all!! Im trying out something new. I'm doing a monthly favorites! I'm going to do 3 categories. Hygiene, fashion, and random. Let's get in to it!

Hygiene

So first is a cleanser I've really loved this month, Purity. Purity is a simple way to remove makeup or sunscreen from the day while cleaning and toning your skin, all in one step. I have seen huge improvements in the smoothness in my skin and the moister.

Next is my moisturizer, neutrogena's deep wrinkle moisture. Ok this might be a bit weird if you knew my age (13.) But my dermatologist gave me some samples of this because it has retinol in it and that will help will cell turn over. So it was suppose to help with my acne. I really love it and i highly recommend it.

Next is Light Argan Oil from Josie Maran. I just got the $16 one some I could try it for my face and hair. And if you have dry hair or any skin you NEED to get this. IT IS AMAZING. If you are a skeptic on oil on your face I'm not going to explain it now but I'll be posting a post soon on why its actually good for oily skin. But basically I highly recommend it and you need to buy it.

Fashion
Ok let me just explain, I went to a religious camp for a week so these things are just meant for me going to camp.

First nike pro shorts. If you do anything that you need a harness to do, you need these. They don't let you flash and they are super comfy. Also if you have a little bit of a sorter dress you can wear these so you don't flash anyone.

Next are my Chacos. Ok well i couldn't find the ones i had online but i found these. But anyways, i love these for camp or for just going out for a little while. They are super comfy and they look so good on everyone. Everybody at my school wears chacos. I know a little weird but we love them.

Now on to the random section...

Fist is Ed Sheeran's new album. I am a HUGE fan of Ed Sheeran. If you knew me you would probably get annoyed by how much I talk about him.. Its a little weird but I love it. If you haven't heard him, go listen to "don't" or "sing" and you will be sold.

Lastly, Champion. If you haven't heard of the legend series, its soo good. I LOVE it. You need to read them. Champion is the third and final book in the trilogy and it goes by sooo fast. You need to read it if you loved divergent. You would love this.

Well thank y'all for reading and have a great day!! LOVE YALL!!
Love,
Caroline

Current Facial Routine

Hey y'all! So if you can  read you would know that today ill be telling y'all my current facial routine. Now lately i've been keeping up with my routine and ive seen a huge difference in my skin. So lets jump right in!

1. Cleaning
Now i have no other category for this so I'm gonna throw it in here. My clarisonic! I LOVE this thing!
Oh my word. It cleans my face and exfoliates it. I have noticed my face is brighter and smoother! And it cleans your skin 6x better than your hands can alone! YAY! Now I have to say it is an investment.
And kinda a splurge. But I think its totally worth it.

2. Cleansing
Again again I know. But I have  cleaner. Not just a cleaning machine.
Neutrogena has this amazing cleaner that is made for normal sensitive skin. Which is almost the opposite of me. But i do have very sensitive skin but I also have very oily skin. But this stuff is amazing!! It is around $10 for 12 oz. But they also sell it in sample sizes if you want to get a feel for it before you buy it.

3. Spot treatment
Now I am a HUGE believer of using a spot treatment. And I am a huge fanatic of using natural
products. This is even better than anything I've tried. And I know natural lines like lush, have spot treatments. But for me they slowly cure the spot, and they help make less scars. But i need something fast because I don't wear make up. So this is perfect for me. Its only $7 and it says 100% of people show clearer skin in just one use! Oh my word! I could say i would agree with that statement. I haven't meet one person who didn't like it.

4. Toner
Ok with toner I have two that I LOVE.
1.Witch hazel. Ok I don't know where I even want to begin. I first off have to say that witch hazel
is kinda like coconut oil in a sense that it has so many uses. It would take up an entire post if i wanted to do that. So I'm gonna just tell y'all what I use it for on my face and how I use it. First i get the rose pedal one, or the lavender one not the plain original kind because of the scent. I am very sensitive about scents and so this is perfect for me. So I use it for measures to make the aging process to go slower. And for an amazing toner that evens out skin tone, texture, and oil. So this is perfect for any skin even acne prone skin because its anti-bacterial. And how I use it: i just put about a nickel size amount in my palm and rub it between my hands and pat it into my skin. It feels so great and if you have oily skin your skin will become lots less oily and make up will last longer. And bonus its alcohol free, and has aloe vera so you don't have to worry about it drying out your skin. It will actually moisturize it.

    2. Tea Tree Water from Lush. It is almost as great as witch hazel. But wallet wise, its not as
reasonable. I got this from a friend for my birthday and I was like NO WAY. I was so excited. Now its in my everyday skin care routine. Once I used half of it I filled it up the rest of the way with witch hazel to make it last longer. Now if you don't have oily, "spot" prone skin lush has other toners. I love their toners in general. And all of their toners are alcohol free and so they won't dry out your skin. (Bonus!) And if you don't know which one to buy, when your at the store you can always ask someone who works there. The people who work there are always super nice and are always willing to help.

5. Moisturizer
Sweet almond oil. Now if you don't know already know if you have oily skin, putting oil on your skin
is actually going to help it. But it is amazing. I will link a few links at the end if you want to read into this because there is just so many benefits and i want y'all to hear them from an expert. But I highly recommend this oil to every one.

Thank y'all for reading this and I hope you try these out. I think they are all worth their money. Disclaimer I was not in contact with any companies for putting these up. And I was not paid to say any of these things. And these are my own personal opinion

Bath salts

Hey y'all!! Today I'll be showing you how to make your own bath salts. Now if you were anything like me you are like "What in the world is bath salt?" And its really just a salt you put in your bath for different health and beauty benefits. Now again you might say "But doesn't salt dry out your skin and your body in general?" Now I'm not a scientist so I'm not sure how it works. But all i know is, is that it works. Lets jump right in!!

Ingredients:
1 cup Salt
Essential oil (20-30 drops)
Food coloring(optional)
Dried plants(optional)

How to make:
Now this is VERY simple. You just put everything in a bowl and mix it up. Easy as pie!

Why would I want to use a bath salt?
Well you might have told by a doctor to start using epsom salt baths. Now this is to soothe muscles, relieve pain, and just plain relax.

What kinds of salt could I use?
Now there are many you could use. Like some great options are: epsom, rock, or even just plain old salt. Now I suggest epsom salt because it can be used by anyone. Now usually athletes use this because it will help relieve sore muscles.

I hope y'all try this out!! If y'all do make sure you put it in the comment section below. Have a great day, follow us on pinterest;Pinterest
and on twitter; @cake7900

Oil uses

Hey y'all!! Its Caroline and today ill be telling y'all about the uses of different oils. Now im going to tell you guys about three of my favorite oils and their uses. So lets jump into it!

Coconut oil:

Now all the many uses of coconut oil would be an entire post. So lets just name a few of the ones i use the most.
1. Moisturizer
Coconut oil can be used on the body or the face for a moisturizer. This is very simple and cheap. It is antibacterial and anti microbial and its anti fungal so its great for every ski type.
2.Healing
Now coconut oil has all those properties so its great for infections. And it has cell renewal properties so it can help heal scares and can help prevent them. It can also get rid of stretch marks and wrinkles. So anyone can benefit from it
3.Scalp salve
Because of the moisturizing properties it can heal any dry scalp you might have.
4. Heals hair cuticle
You put it on your hair for about a hour and shampoo and condition as usual and will leave your hair shiny, soft, and look healthy
5. Help stay healthy
Coconut oil will naturally heal things like cold soars. And if in taken it can help with hormonal production and keep your temperature regular.

Castor oil

Now castor oil is pretty cheap and has a good amount of uses i'm telling you about the ones I use.
1.Hair growth
Now if you've heard of castor oil uses you've probably heard it can grow your hair nice and long. And if you want long strong eyelashes you can just coat them every night and it will help. And by the way im doing the castor oil challenge so check that out.
2. Cleaning agent
If you've heard of the oil cleansing method for your face every single one says castor oil and a carrier oil. And thats because of its cleaning agents and small molecular structure. And believe it or not its too big to fit into your pores. But it works wonders for the hair and face.

Sweet Almond Oil

1. Lip scrub
I'll be doing a post later on, on a lip scrub and this one just has less ingredients and it is only a few time use. But all you need is 1 tbs of sweet almond oil and 1 tbs of sugar. Mix them together and use this a few days in a row and the sweet almond oil will stay on the lips and moisturize them.
2. Hair cure
Now sweet almond oil is a great oil for the hair and im going to list a few uses for the hair
  1. It will make your hair long strong and thick
  2. It will control hair fall out.
  3. It will prevent split ends
  4. Massaging into the scalp will add shine and makes it soo soft
3.Moisturizer
It will moisturize the skin like crazy!!! You can put some in the hot bath water and it will moisturize and soften the skin. And its a great cheap cuticle cream. It also helps with dry patches on the skin.

Ok yall those were some of my favorite oils and some of their uses. I hope you liked it follow me on pinterest and share these to yalls friends. By the way all the link to where you can buy these oils on my Pinterest board called blog products. If you dont want to buy them online you can easily find it in health food stores like whole foods, akins, and trader joes. Have a great day

natural skincare routine

Hey guys its Caroline today. And i'm going to do my all natural skincare routine. This routine has many options. I decide what cleanser and moisturizer I use by how I feel my skin is doing. Lets jump right in!

                                                                       Cleansers
So I'm going to be showing y'all my cleansers first.  First of all i have oily to combination acne prone skin so these work for me but may not work for you. you just have to try them out. But my sister has dry skin and I will also post what she uses too. All the links will be on my pinterest under the board blog products.

This is angels on bare skin by lush. Lush is a all natural company that has amazing products. This cleanser is clay based and is made in the store fresh. It has almonds, lavender, and roses to soothe the skin. And this cleanser is for combination skin but is great for oily skin too because it is clay based so it will draw out impurities.

Next is actually the oil cleansing method. now before you freak out and say "NO WAY!! I'm never going to put oil on my skin!!" And probably if you have oily skin you would skip this. But believe it or not if you have oily skin this is best for you. Because putting oil on your skin will trick your system into making less oil. But I know the chart is hard to read but for oily skin you want 50% castor oil and 50% of a carrier oil. (I will post a list of carrier oils at the bottom of the post) For balanced skin you want 30% castor oil and 70% carrier oil. And for dry skin you want 25% castor oil and 75% carrier oil. Later on I will post a blog about my favorite oils and why you would use them. So if you want to know the best carrier oil for you, you'll be wanting to look for that. And if you want to know more about the oil cleansing method I will pin somethings on Mckenna and my board called blog.

Toner
Now with toners I only have one that I like and it just happens to be natural.
This is witch hazel. Now if you're anything like me and the word toner makes you nervous. This one has no alcohol and is all natural. It is on the pricier side but a little goes a very long way. It is around $9 for 12oz. I have used this for a while and it helps my oil in my face to even out, it moisturizes slightly, and gives your skin a nice healthy glow. I know that most of you dont use toner but if you do your research you  wont regret buying one and you will use one for the rest of your life.

Moisturizers

This is dream cream form lush. And this is kinda a splurge for a moisturizer I know and its a body lotion. But because it is all natural it is great for the face too. I use this on my face at night only because it is a little greasy but besides that it is amazing and has great benefits.

Now if you want a cheaper version this is the way to go. Coconut oil. Now again an oil you are probably freaking out. If you've never heard of coconut oil I have a post about a few of its many beauty benefits. So go check that out. But basically the molecular structure of the oil id too big to get into the pores and clog them. And if you have acne it is anti bacterial so instead of clogging pores it will unclog pores! So for all skin types this is great.

You're probably thinking another oil? Sweet almond oil. But it has vitamin e to help with fine lines and wrinkles and it will make your skin super soft. And it is anti bacterial so it will actually help pimples. And same with the coconut oil. The molecular structure is too big to get into the pores.

Masks and Scrubs

Mask of magniminty. Now besides from the cool name it actually has peppermint oil magniminty. It has a great cooling sensation to create more blood flow to the skin. It has chocolate bits in it so it looks and smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream. It has kaolin clay so it will harden on the face and pull out any impurities.

Now for a scrub I use sugar and a carrier oil. The ratio i use is 2:1 two parts sugar one part oil. This is about the consistency of sand. But if you want a drier scrub add less oil if you want a wetter scrub add more oil. Just make it to your liking.

Thats it! I hope you enjoyed. Make sure you share this with friends follow my blog and my pinterest!

Carrier oils:
sweet almond oil
avocado oil
coconut oil
 castor oil
olive oil
and there are many more these are just a few of m favorites!
